“ I wanted to share with you how proud I was of our Club for the tremendous service we received in an unusual situation last week.
Last Saturday we had the funeral for Deb's mother, followed by what we thought was to be a reception and luncheon at an establishment close to the Church. Unfortunately, some of the arrangements at that establishment were mishandled, and accordingly when the family and friends showed up for the luncheon, nothing was prepared.
Fortunately for us, I called Manufacturers' and talked with Linda. I told her the situation, that we had 60 people in the parking lot with no place to go. Obviously, the situation was slightly stressful for the family given the circumstances. I asked if Linda could accommodate us in 15 minutes. Not only did she accommodate us, but when we arrived their was a sign in the foyer directing our guests, the tables were already set up in the formal dining room and a full bar stocked and ready for us. Remarkable! Linda had told me on the phone, she was not sure what the Club would have available to serve us. I told her we did have some vegetarians and vegans in the group and asked her to do what she could. Incredibly, not only did we have food for everyone, but it was delicious and promptly prepared. The entire event went off without any issues. Truthfully, to the guests it seemed as though we had planned this event a week earlier. The staff was incredible as always.
There were guests among the 60 from all over the country, and everyone was so impressed with the way Linda and the entire staff accomplished this incredible feat on 15 minutes notice. Many commented that their country clubs could never have pulled off such a feat. They were so complimentary and grateful.
I was never prouder of Manny's nor more appreciative of Linda and our staff for truly exceptional service. A special thank you from the Lovelidges. This was truly amazing customer service. Even more astonishing was that this was done the afternoon of the Club's annual holiday party, so there was so much work to be accomplished for the party that night. I was so impressed and proud.
Thanks again, I hope you share this story with the Board and our members. I know you hear more complaints than compliments. Please thank the staff for us - Deb and I will find a way to do that personally, but coming from you would even mean more. We will always remember this day and the way Manufacturers' treated us. Deb's mother loved to visit Manny's with us - so it was really a fitting way to honor her life.”
